How we do it

We are passionate about responding with the right solution, researching appropriate plants and materials, sourcing in season 'lookalikes' and creating ingenious ways to 'make things happen' in the right way.

Filmscapes relocated from its original nursery in Hereford in 1996 as a result of a conscious decision to be closer to our clients. Our current base is a 3-acre nursery near Surbiton in Surrey. We have tropical and temperate glass houses, shade houses and a large area set aside for outdoor trees, shrubs and perennials. We are convenient for London based film studios and agencies and we often meet with London and South East clients at our nursery or their studios.

Our close neighbours are plantsmen too and we regularly work with them to supply large trees and shrubs for our contracts. In fact most of our suppliers come from within a 20 mile radius of our nursery, which helps to reduce travel costs and our carbon footprint.

The collaborative relationships we have built with our suppliers are invaluable and we regularly draw on their expertise and materials to meet our clients’ objectives.

Unlike many suppliers in our industry, we have the room, expertise and resources to ‘grow our own’ which has many advantages in terms of cost, sustainability and versatility.
