How we do it
We are passionate about responding with the right solution, researching appropriate plants and materials, sourcing in season 'lookalikes' and creating ingenious ways to 'make things happen' in the right way.
We have a lifetime of experience in this industry – with a wide circle of suppliers and contacts to draw upon when we need support for specific challenges.
Our founder, Ron Whittle still plays an active role in the business, frequently bringing his wisdom and knowledge to projects. It was Ron’s ingenuity that choreographed the setting out of the ‘green and pleasant’ land in the London 2012 opening ceremony – coming up with a plan to reduce the footfall on the landscape, as it was laid out by the hundreds of people on the set.
We can often interpret an art directors brief, simply by discussing their vision, although many of course, supply digital renderings. We work with agency art directors, artists, exhibition and events directors at a variety of levels – giving support that ranges from the creation of working models, samples and materials, to drawing up specifications and plans with associated ‘mood boards’ that depict proposed plants and materials.
We are passionate about responding with the right solution, researching the appropriate plants, sourcing in season ‘lookalikes’ and creating ingenious ways to ‘make things happen’ in the right way. We have created collapsing trees with hinged trunks, portable hedges that can be wheeled away on specially built trolleys, we keep a stock of weeds and scrubby looking plants to recreate unkempt gardens, but we’ll also grow great looking vegetables to transplant when the time comes.
