Hampton Court Palace Flower Show 2005:
‘Sunken seclusion' was the name of the Filmscapes' garden exhibit shown at the Hampton Court Flower Show this year. More than 18 months ago Lucinda was asked what plans she had for the future of the business…..she replied‘I would like to exhibit at Hampton Court Flower Show in 2005'.
In our first year of exhibiting at the show we were overwhelmed to be awarded the second highest award available from the Royal Horticultural Society of the "Silver Gilt Medal". This was the icing on top of the cake for us, and we look forward to returning next year to see if we can't improve our results!
Lucinda and Hadrian have joined forces to create a garden for the Hampton Court Flower Show. Hadrian worked hard to design a garden that would appeal to those of us who don't have the large gardens that we would like but still wish for it to be private and peaceful although we live in the hustle and bustle of busy towns.
Lucinda's drive has brought the design to fruition and they are both very excited after seeing the garden built in the grounds of Hampton Court Palace.
Most of us live in towns, with limited space around us. Invariably our gardens are surrounded by other gardens, at least one of which will have been left to become overgrown with self seeded sycamore and other similar shade inducing trees.
Our chief aim was to show how it is possible to achieve interest, calm and seclusion in a small space. The garden is designed as a place in which to entertain and relax, in stylish surroundings amidst the sound of gently bubbling water. The planting scheme encourages a feeling of well-being and will flourish in the semi shady conditions of the typical town garden.
"Thank You" to those of you that visited us during the show.

Hampton Court Palace Flower Show 2006:
Lucinda and Hadrian teamed up again to build 'Solar Ellipse' the name of this years show garden. We were overwhelmed to achieved the prestigious award of 'Silver-Gilt Medal' for the second year running.
Much of our work is within the film and television industry and has given them the chance to get involved with prestigious work for films such as the Harry Potter movies, The Constant Gardener and the current James Bond movie ‘Casino Royal'. Exhibiting at the Hampton Court Flower Show enables us to use other attributes we have as both individuals and a company.
The inspiration for this year's garden draws on our relationship with the environment and our responsibilities to both nurture ecology and conserve energy. This garden explores ways we can reduce the amount of water we need, how to use solar power for luxuries such as water features and also demonstrates ways in which we can all do our bit to encourage greater bio diversity.
Water runs almost silently around the seating area, glimmering over the pebble mosaic and into the still cool pool beneath your feet. The rill has a mosaic of polish pebbles and looks equally as good with or without water. Highly topical at present is the nations water supplies. Our planting scheme shows how using plants that are drought tolerant need not give a garden that looks arid and baron. The hot colours of our planting scheme give the garden beautiful warmth even on a cloudy day.
We hope that there is something here to inspire everybody.
